3CE Studio Mesh Foundation in 002 Natural Medium Beige // Review + Swatches

3CE Studio Mesh Foundation in 002 Natural Beige
I recently just discovered a new favorite cushion foundation hence I am sharing it with you today! It is the 3CE Studio Mesh Foundation and I've been wanting to try it ever since it was launched, I finally bought it when they had free shipping!

This foundation has a larger cushion puff than most Korean beauty brands such as Etude House or Innisfree, which is great for people on the go as this helps the application process to be faster. The downside to this though, is that is harder to reach the corners, but folding the puff into half will help.

Upon my first application, I notice that it instantly brighten my skin with just one layer. I would say the coverage is light to medium, depending on your skin condition. It is pretty buildable though, but it may cake up from the third layer onward so use it sparingly.

No foundation
With one layer.

I love this foundation as it is so lightweight, hence the perfect cushion for everyday use. It conceals my pores as well as my blemishes so well that I find myself using less powder for that extra coverage.

I actually wore this foundation to Shinefest @ ION Orchard to see Jessica, and omg I was sweating buckets expecting my makeup to be gone yet the foundation was still intact and perfect on my face which was so surprising. It really does live up to its long lasting power claims.

Also, if you're afraid that of sticky foundation, this is actually not too bad. It is a little tacky if you were to layer it up, but it is nothing too crazy to worry about.

One layer on

Finished makeup. i forgotten to put on lipstick lol! Did an outfit change too.

After a long day of wear. Pores and redness are showing through a little.

The only flaw to this cushion is the super limited color selection. It is understandable since it is a Korean beauty brand, however 3CE is gaining more international recognition so I hope that they rectify the problem soon to reach out to a more diverse crowd.

I have combination skin and has no problems with this cushion, I usually just touch up around my forehead with a little bit of No Sebum powder from Innisfree. It clings onto the dry patches on my jaw area, so be sure to exfoliate first!

Allure Cosmetics Satin Lipstick and Matte Liquid Lips // Review + Swatches

Allure Cosmetics is an indie brand based in Singapore and the Philippines. I first saw this brand on Instagram and I wanted to support a local brand, so I purchased one matte liquid lipstick as well as a satin lipstick with my own money. They were having a promotion to buy both at 21SGD so I managed to save some bucks too.

Allure claims that their mattes are long lasting and light weight. I’ll give them that, they are truly light weight and is not sticky at all. They do take a little longer to dry down to a full matte finish though, however this is not an issue for me.

I tried layering them and it started getting a little streaky, so try to perfect your pout on the first try! Also, exfoliate your lips and moisturise them with a balm first as this may dry your lips.

Matte Liquid Lipstick in Poppy Red

The satin lipsticks claims that it is a seed oil based lipstick that moisturises your lips with semi-matte finished. It has a creamy formula with shea butter scent.’ It is quite heavily scented but thank god it goes away instantaneously after applying on my lips.

In addition to the semi-matte finish, it is also very pigmented with just one swipe! It makes the lipstick application process such a breeze. My lips do not feel dry after a long day of wearing too.

Satin Lipstick in Orchid
These lipsticks are priced reasonably, on par with Maybelline and L’Oreal. The downside is that you do not get to test these before purchasing. I took the risk and I love using both of them! They are definitely value for money. However, if you are planning to only get one, I suggest getting the satin lipsticks.

They are more affordable than the mattes, priced at $15SGD with 3.8g of product, and is pigmented with just one swipe. You do not have to worry about your lips drying out, or your lipstick getting streaky touching up throughout the day.

Personally, I would love to try more shades of the liquid lipsticks especially Lotus! They are priced at $21 each with 4.5g of product, which is pretty reasonable compared to The Kylie Lip Kit ($23.30SGD with 3.25g of product).

Let me know in the comments section below what is your favourite indie brand! Thank you for reading xx

Essence Matt Matt Matt Long Lasting Lipgloss on Asian Skintone // Review + Swatches

I've finally found all shades of the Matt Matt Matt Long Lasting Lipgloss.. I've been waiting to find all the colors to do a swatch post here so let's get on to it!

Essence claims that this product 'provides long-lasting color with a high coverage and a velvety-matt finish.' I do not agree that it is long-lasting part because it fades away easily when I am eating. However, it does have high pigmentation and a velvety-matt finish that does not dry my lips out.

This product does not dry completely matte and is not budge-proof. If you do not mind having to touch up now and then, I think this is suitable for you! I also absolutely love the vanilla sweet scent, it is not overpowering and fades away instantly after applying. The texture is super creamy and whipped, more so than the NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream.

01 La Vie Est Belle - This color is only suitable for super fair girls, it is too light for me and it washes me out. Also, because of how light this color is, it will also accentuate any cracks and lines on your lips, hence makes it unsuitable for people with super chapped lips like me!

01, featuring my lovely boyfriend

Even though this color does not compliment me, I didn't want it to go to waste. Thus, I use the essence long lip liner in 02 Sweetheart to do a ombre lips. It turned out to be a muted barbie pink color which is really pretty. #beautyhacks Always try to experiment with your makeup!

02 Beauty Approved - This is a beautiful warm nude that will suit light to medium skin tones. This is a perfect MLBB color for me! I have so much love for this color and have no complaints, except that it will settle into the fine lines on my lips.

03 Girl Of Today - When I first swatched this color, it reminded a lot of the NYX Matte Lipstick in Merlot. Both colors are really similar for shade reference.

This has got to be my favorite out of all colors! It is a stunning deep rosey pink that will look so good on medium to dark skin tones. However, for some reason this one in particular feels heavier on the lips, so I will always blot it with a tissue first.

04 Ready, Set, Impress! - This is super pigmented with just one layer. It is a pretty classic warm red, there is not much blue in this. This shade will look good on everybody!

05 Simply Be An Icon - This one stains my lips after a day of wearing it, leaving a pretty tint that I did not bother to touch up! This is a beautiful wine red, darker girls would totally rock this!

I wanted to ask my boyfriend to swatch all colors with me since he has a darker skin tone, but he was busy with his game. We will have another chance to!

Hopefully this post was helpful for you. I remembered only seeing the 2 reds literally everywhere, however I’ve been seeing the lighter shades too. If you are only planning on getting one color, I recommend 03 and 05!

Thank you for reading and I’ll see you in the next post!

Colourpop Ultra Blotted Lips On Asian Skintone // Review + Swatches

Hey guys! I am back with another lippie review, and today I will be talking about Colourpop's recent release, the Ultra Blotted Lips! When I first watched their Instastory talking about these liquid lipsticks and how lightweight and nice they are, I was pretty excited. Sometimes matte liquid lipstick tend to feel a little heavy on the lips after a few hours of wear, it flakes off and starts to crumble a little, it ain't cute. Hence, Colourpop's claim on what these new matte lippies do got me super excited and intrigued!

I got these quite a while back when they were having their free international shipping under $30USD sales, usually is is $50, so I picked up a few items and managed to save a bit of cash. Always look out for new deals on their website especially if you're not from the US!

On to the formula itself, it is definitely lightweight, transfer-proof and totally matte! It does not feel heavy after a few hours, which is the reason why I love the Ultra Blotted more than the Ultra Matte now. It is really comfortable on the lips, I do not feel tight or restricted while talking and most importantly, I do not feel like I am wearing any liquid lipsticks at all!

It is 100% transfer-proof and kiss proof, so do not worry about kissing your partner on their cheeks, or if you're a guy and is considering getting your girl these.. Fret not! The Ultra Blotted looks as have matte as the Ultra Matte, there is no shine to them, neither does it look like the Ultra Satin as well.

However, just one fault that I will point out is, if you do have super chapped lips (and I am saying super chapped! Lips that are hydrated but will get dry after 5 minutes lol) I recommend that you exfoliate and make sure that your lips are hydrated before putting these on. They are not as drying as the Ultra Mattes, but still can dry out your lips especially in places with air-conditioning.

Doozy and Zuma are pretty similar, they are both warm rosey tones with the exception of Zuma having a more mauve-y tone. Split is a pretty purple berry color that will turn heads to you because it is pretty bright!

What is your favorite color from the Ultra Blotted collection? Let me know in the comment section below!

The Twelve Cup Cafe // Penang

I recently went to Penang and stumbled across this cafe while I was in a taxi, so I decided to pay a visit when I was free! I was pleasantly surprised at how good the drinks and foods were.
Iced Americano, Tiramisu Crepe Cake, Belgium Chocolate

I don't drink coffee so I did not try the Americano, although according to my boyfriend, he says it is good. I am not sure what kind of beans they used.

The Tiramisu Crepe Cake is delicious! I love how light and fluffy it is, I could have went for a second serving if I wasn't super full.

I really enjoyed the Belgium Chocolate drink too, it is one of the very few flavored drinks that I could finish. I always go for water, but since I was feeling adventurous I decided to go for the chocolate. No regrets as on my second visit, I went for the same drink too!

Soup of the day: Cream of Mushroom
Belgium Chocolate
I love this mushroom soup as it is not super creamy. I hate it when Cream Of Mushroom tastes nothing like mushroom but just dairy! The presentation is super cute too. The mushrooms are blended really fine so it is super smooth.

Mushroom Aglio Olio with Squid Ink Pasta
This pasta is so good but very spicy! I couldn't finish and thank god my boyfriend loved it so he basically chowed it down!

I actually forgot how much each food item cost individually, however the mushroom soup together with the pasta and the chocolate drinks are only $13sgd! It is so affordable, and if I were to have this exact same meal in Singapore, I would most probably have to pay $20 and above.
