Essence All About Eyeshadow // Review + Swatches

Looking for a good eyeshadow palette in the drugstore, especially in Singapore can be a little tricky. I’ve tried several palettes and this is by far the best that I tried.

Currently, Essence offers 4 of their palettes in the Singapore market which includes: All About Nudes, All About Bronze, All About Roses and All About Greys. I’ve forgotten how much they retail for, but my best guess is around $7.90 to $9.90. They are extremely affordable and you definitely get the bang for the buck.

All About Nudes Palette
6 Mattes
1 Satin
1 Shimmer
I love the mattes in all of the eyeshadow palettes. They are so buttery soft when you swatch them with your fingers, and they blend really well on the eyes with a brush. They do not have a ton of fall-outs unless you don’t tap off the excess from your brush. They can get quite powdery too but nothing too much that makes me dislike it.

The shimmers are gorgeous! They are so high quality when I swatched them on my fingers, I was genuinely impressed when I tried them out. They work equally as well on the eyes. However, they do have a lot of kickback when you dip your brush into the pan, and a lot more compared to the matte shadows, so be sure to tap off the excess from your brush.

If you are a beginner dabbling into eyeshadows, I would suggest getting the All About Nudes palette. It is a neutral palette and it has 6 mattes and 1 satin and 1 shimmer shades. Creating an everyday natural look is super easy with this palette!

Love a good warm tone eyeshadow palette? I definitely would recommend you to get the All About Bronze palette as it is filled with beautiful shimmer warm-toned shades that would be a perfect companion with your Nudes palette. All the shades are perfect for a pop of shimmer on your eyelids.

The All About Roses palette is perfect if you like purple cool-toned hues, think of Etude House Personal Colour Palette but more compact and affordable. It is super easy to create a soft, romantic yet sultry look with the pinks and purples! The black shadow with a purple shimmer is so beautiful when placed on the crease for a smokey eye.

All About Roses
3 Mattes
5 Shimmers
I hope this review was helpful, and be sure to leave me a comment on what you would love to see next!
